I am not very good at this…

I look at tumblr a half dozen times a day but rarely do I post anything.  Random updates include that I am 80% of the way to home ownership.  Right now I have a contract, have been approved for a loan and have the money for closing.  All that I am really waiting on is my apartment contract to end.  I am really excited but at the same time it is kinda a downer.  This is mainly because it makes me think of my self as all growed up.  I certinly still feel like a 23 year old, but owning a house makes me realize that there is really no going back to being a kid again. 

I am kinda embarassed to say that I had never been to a real strip club before my friends took me to one this last weekend.  Some of my friends came down from Buffalo to go to a concert and I decided to get togeather with them.  I had a blast, although I have to admit it was more because Dan and Dolche were two of my good friends from high school and it was really good to catch up with them.  In the end the entire experience made me miss Annette even more, but it was nice to get out of the apartment for once.

I am actually going somewhere at work it seems.  They are currently grooming me to take over two separate platforms.  The mainframe environment included a really cool change last night.  I actually got to shut down two whole LPARs.  An LPAR is basically a VM of z/OS which is the windows of the mainframe world.  To put that is perspective, if an LPAR were to come down at some point where it is not planned it could cost the company millions of dollars.  It sucked to have to go in on my weekend but it was totally worth the experience
